Happy Fall ‘Y’all!
I hope this post finds you in the midst of some lovely Fall weather.
I am so excited to be a part of the Fall Festival Blog Tour this year!
Today I have teamed up with some talented ladies to share with you our Fall tablescapes. If you are following the tour in order, you are probably joining me from Dining Delight. I loved Lori’s use of traditional Fall colors throughout her tablescape! If you missed any of the tours before me, there is a list with links to all 30 bloggers who are participating down at the very bottom of this post.
Before I show you my table, let me preface by saying…
I am really feeling all the Fall feels this year. Usually I’m chomping at the bit and eager for Christmas to get here but this year I want football season and Fall activities to last forever!
When dreaming up my tablescape for this season, I kept gravitating towards natural elements and color. If you’ve been following along with me via the blog or my Instagram you’ve probably noticed that I am more of a neutral person these days. I tend to cling to the cream, white, gray, beige family when it comes to home decor. For some reason, this Fall I was jonesing to incorporate some color! Also, I wanted to make sure and include natural elements in the decor and give it a “farm to table” type feel. Here are some shots of what I ended up with. I’ve included a complete source list with links at the bottom for easy online shopping if your Fall loving heart so desires. (spoiler alert I hit the JACKPOT at World Market)…
I don’t know about you, but when I go to set the table I ALWAYS start with a centerpiece first and then build out from there. I decided to use real apples in my decor for several reasons…
- they were inexpensive
- they gave the rest of my neutral decor a pop of color
- they accomplished that “farm to table” vibe I wanted
- and we could eat them when I was done photographing!
So I put my centerpiece together, consisting of eucalyptus and apples, using the same vase and shish kabob skewers from my Summer patio. If you missed that post you can read about it here.
Then I built out the rest of my tablescape from the centerpiece using this runner I found at World Market and some cotton stems from Hobby Lobby.
I also found these amazing wooden cheese boards at World Market and HAD to have them because they were so different and cool.
Then I thought the table needed a little fancy element to spice things up so I picked up some gold flatware and pretty wine goblets with a gold rim from World Market while I was there. I told you I hit the jackpot at that store last month!!!!!
